This document describes a pedestrian-controlled walk-behind battery-powered lawn mower, designed for cutting grass in gardens and grassy areas. The machine is intended for consumer use, meaning non-professional operators, and should be operated by a single person.

Function Description:

The lawn mower primarily consists of a motor that drives a rotating cutting blade enclosed within a chassis, equipped with wheels and a handle. The operator controls the machine and its main functions while walking behind the handle, maintaining a safe distance from the rotating cutting device. If the operator moves away from the machine, the motor and the rotating cutting device will stop within a few seconds.

The machine is designed to perform several grass-cutting operations:

Collecting grass: It can cut grass and collect the clippings in a grass catcher. The grass catcher also acts as a safety element, preventing objects picked up by the blade from being thrown far from the machine.
Rear discharge: It can cut grass and discharge it onto the ground from the rear.
Mulching: If equipped with the mulching kit, it can cut, shred, and deposit the grass on the ground. This finely shreds the cut grass and leaves it on the lawn, offering an alternative to collecting it in the grass catcher.

The use of specific attachments, whether provided as original equipment by the manufacturer or purchased separately, allows for these operations to be performed in various modes, as detailed in this manual or the instructions accompanying the individual attachments.

Improper Use:

Any use other than those described above can be dangerous and cause harm to persons and/or property. Examples of improper use include, but are not limited to:

Transporting other people, children, or animals on the machine, as they could fall off and sustain serious injuries or compromise safe driving.
Being transported by the machine itself.
Using the machine to tow or push loads.
Activating the cutting device on non-grassy surfaces.
Using the machine for collecting leaves or debris.
Using the machine to trim hedges or cut non-grass vegetation.
Operating the machine with more than one person simultaneously.

Improper use will invalidate the warranty and relieve the manufacturer of all liabilities, with the user being responsible for any resulting damages or injuries to themselves or third parties.

Usage Features:

The machine is equipped with a safety key (deactivation device) located inside the battery compartment. This key activates/deactivates the machine's electrical circuit. Removing the key completely deactivates the circuit, preventing uncontrolled use. It is important to remove the safety key whenever the machine is unused or left unattended.

The control lever starts/stops the motor and simultaneously engages/disengages the cutting device. The machine offers different cutting height adjustments. The handle inclination can also be adjusted for user comfort.

Before starting work, it is essential to perform safety checks, ensuring the safety key is not inserted and the cutting device is stationary. The battery charge status should be checked. The machine can be prepared for different cutting modes: collecting grass in the catcher, rear discharge onto the ground, or mulching.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance and correct storage are crucial for preserving the machine's safety and performance.

Cleaning: After each use, the machine should be thoroughly cleaned. This includes cleaning the chassis interior to remove grass debris and mud, preventing it from drying and hindering subsequent starts. The grass catcher should also be cleaned.
Battery: The battery's power reserve depends on environmental factors (dense, high, wet grass), cutting width, and operator behavior (frequent on/off, too low cutting height, too high forward speed). To optimize battery life, it is recommended to cut dry grass frequently and adjust cutting height appropriately. The battery is protected against total discharge by a protective device. The battery can be recharged at any time, even partially, without risk of damage. It has a guard that prevents recharging if the ambient temperature is outside 0°C to +45°C.
Cutting Device: All operations related to the cutting device (disassembly, sharpening, balancing, repair, reassembly, and/or replacement) are complex and require specific expertise and tools. For safety reasons, these tasks should always be performed by a specialized service center. Damaged, bent, or worn blades should always be replaced as a complete unit, along with their screws, to maintain balance. Only original cutting devices with the specified code should be used.
Storage: The machine can be stored vertically if needed, by hanging it on a hook. Ensure the hook and fastening system can support the machine's weight, and prevent children or animals from climbing on it. The cutting device should face a wall or be adequately covered to avoid hazards. The battery should be stored in a cool, shaded, and dry place. For prolonged inactivity, recharge the battery every two months to extend its lifespan.

Problem Identification and Solutions:

The manual provides a detailed troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the motor not starting, the cutting device not rotating, the motor stopping during operation, poor grass collection, difficult mowing, excessive noise/vibration, and low battery reserve. Solutions typically involve checking the safety key, battery charge, clearing obstructions, or contacting an authorized service center for repairs or parts replacement.
