Summary

Using the Machine

Before Starting

Fill the engine crankcase with 0.6 liters of good quality oil before first use.

Check Oil Level

Check oil level before each use; ensure it is between the 'FULL' and 'ADD' marks on the dipstick.

Fill the Fuel Tank

Do not refuel with a hot or running engine. Leave expansion space in the tank.

Starting the Engine

Keep hands/feet away from rotating blades. Start on firm, level ground.

Engaging and Disengaging Transmission

Engage drive by pushing coupling lever towards handle. Disengage by releasing lever.

Stopping the Engine

Release the Start/Stop lever to stop the engine. Disconnect spark plug cable for safety.

Cutting Height

Stop engine before adjusting cutting height. Adjust to 1 of 8 positions using the single lever.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Clean the mower after each cut, especially the underside of the cutting deck. Do not use a pressure washer.

Cooling System

Clean the engine's cooling fins and air intake of debris before each use.

Lubrication

Lubricate plastic bushings/friction bearings of the drive shaft at least once per season.

Oil Change

Change oil when the engine is hot and fuel tank is empty. First change after 5 hours, then every 50 hours.

Air Filter

Clean the air filter every 25 hours or three months. Clean foam filter with detergent and water, then oil it.

Spark Plug

Clean spark plug regularly. Adjust electrode gap to 0.7-0.8 mm. Use Champion J19LM or equivalent.

Clutch Cable Adjustment

Adjust clutch cable if engaging/disengaging is difficult. Adjust nipple until machine can be pushed backward.

Blade Replacement

Wear gloves when changing blades. Ensure correct installation and tighten to 40 Nm.

Blade Sharpening

Sharpen blades wet. Balance after sharpening to prevent vibration damage.

Storage

Empty fuel tank. Run engine dry. Oil cylinder. Clean and store indoors.
