17 Troubleshooting
17.1 Remedying Lawn Mower Faults
Fault Cause Remedy
The lawn mower
does not start when
switched on.
The plug or extension cable connector
are not plugged in.
Insert the plug or extension cable
connector, 7.
The circuit breaker (fuse) or the resi‐
dual current device tripped. The circuit
is electrically overloaded or defective.
Find and fix the cause of the circuit
breaker or RCD tripping. Insert the
circuit breaker (fuse) or residual cur‐
rent device.
Switch other power consumers in
the same circuit off.
The fuse protection of the socket is too
low.
Insert the plug of the extension
cable into a correctly fused socket,
18.
The cross section of the extension
cable is incorrect.
Use an extension cable with an ade‐
quate cable cross section, 18.
The extension cable is too long. Use an extension cable with the cor‐
rect length, 18.
The engine is overheated.
Clean the lawn mower, 14.
Allow the lawn mower to cool down.
The resistance at the blade is too
great.
Set a higher cutting height, 10.2.
Switch the lawn mower on in lower
grass.
The area around the blade is blocked.
Clean the lawn mower, 14.
GB country-specific version: The fuse
in the plug is faulty.
Replace the fuse in the plug.
The lawn mower
stops during opera‐
tion.
The plug or extension cable connector
are no longer plugged in.
Insert the plug or extension cable
