17.1 Remedying Lawn Mower Faults
Fault Cause Remedy
The lawn mower
does not start when
switched on.
The plug or extension cable connector
are not plugged in.
► Insert the plug or extension cable
connector, 7.
The circuit breaker (fuse) or the resi‐
dual current device tripped. The circuit
is electrically overloaded or defective.
► Find and fix the cause of the circuit
breaker or RCD tripping. Insert the
circuit breaker (fuse) or residual cur‐
rent device.
► Switch other power consumers in
the same circuit off.
The fuse protection of the socket is too
low.
► Insert the plug of the extension
cable into a correctly fused socket,

cable is incorrect.
► Use an extension cable with an ade‐
quate cable cross section, 18.
The extension cable is too long. ► Use an extension cable with the cor‐

The engine is overheated. ►

The resistance at the blade is too
great.
