This document describes the STIRLING STR-TLW7W 7 kg Top Load Washing Machine.
Function Description:
The STIRLING STR-TLW7W is a 7 kg top load washing machine designed for domestic use, specifically for washing machine-suitable textiles. It offers various wash programs to cater to different laundry needs, including Fuzzy, Bulky, Gentle, Quick, Eco, and Spin. The machine features a fuzzy control system that automatically analyzes the wash load and determines the water level for the "Fuzzy" program, while for other programs, users can manually select the water level. It includes a child lock function for safety and an automatic power-off feature if not started within 5 minutes of being powered on. The washing machine is designed to be connected to both hot and cold water taps for optimal performance, though it can operate with cold water only if a hot water tap is unavailable, provided the hot water inlet is properly covered.

- Child Lock: Activated by pressing and holding the WATER LEVEL and PROGRAM buttons simultaneously for 1.5 seconds. Locks all buttons and sounds an alarm if the lid is opened.
- Water Level Adjustment: Allows users to select the appropriate water level for most programs. Can be manually increased during washing by pressing and holding the WATER LEVEL button.
- Detergent Drawer: For adding detergent. Bleach and fabric softener can be added to specific slots on the balance ring after dilution.
- Pretreatment of Laundry: Recommendations include checking for special washing requirements, emptying pockets of hard/sharp objects, closing zippers, fastening buttons, brushing off dirt/sand, turning pockets inside out, sorting laundry, and pretreating stubborn stains.
- Load Size Guidance: Emphasizes that actual washing capacity may vary from the stated 7 kg dry weight depending on textile thickness, size, and type. Advises selecting a low water level for small loads (less than 1 kg) to prevent splashing.
- First Use: Recommended to run a complete "Quick" cycle without laundry before first use.
- Lid Safety: The machine will cut off power if the lid is opened during operation, especially during spinning, and will resume when closed. Repeated opening (more than 10 times in a short time) may cause direct shutdown to protect electronic components.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning the Washing Machine: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the lid and housing. The detergent drawer can be pulled out for cleaning. Avoid chemical, alkaline, or abrasive cleaning agents and direct water spray.
- Regular Internal Cleaning: Recommended every three months, especially if frequently using cold wash cycles or fabric softener, to prevent detergent scum build-up, bacteria, and odours. This can be done by running a "Bulky" program with hot water and a washing machine cleaning product, or a mix of bicarbonate of soda and white household vinegar.
- Lint Filter Cleaning: Suggested weekly. The lint filter is located inside the tub, can be removed by pressing a hook, and should be washed in warm, soapy water, rinsed, and dried before reinstallation.
- Water Inlet Valve Cleaning: Suggested every two months. Involves detaching water inlet hoses (after turning off water supply) and cleaning the mesh filters inside the inlet valves with a soft brush.
- Pump Strainer Maintenance: Suggested monthly. The pump strainer is located at the side of the washer base. It should be disconnected from power, and the strainer cap removed to clean out lint, fluff, or small items.
- Storage: For extended periods of non-use, unplug the machine, disconnect hoses, clean the machine and filters, air-dry thoroughly, and store in original packaging in a dry, child-safe location.
- Spare Parts: After sales support centre stocks spare drain hoses, water inlet hoses, filters, and adjustable feet.
