The electronic moisture measuring device HPM 3000
serves for determining the moisture (proportion) in
wood, plaster, brickwork and other building materials.
A quick and accurate measurement with corresponding
characteristics can be conducted on the basis of the
conductivity/resistance measurement.
A membrane keyboard and a self-explanatory menu
ensure the ease of use of the instrument.
By specifying the preselected wood and building
materials a high measuring accuracy of the measured
values is present through percent by weight.
In addition to the precise percentage value a quick
evaluation of the moisture tendency is possible via an
additional display.

Measurements on surfaces or at depths close to the
surface are conducted using the integrated measuring
needles.
After actuating the release mechanism you can extract
the measuring needle head from the housing and even
measure difficult to access areas with the help of the 40
cm (approximately) coiled cord. When reinserting the
needle head please make sure that it engages correctly
and that the coiled cord retracts into its designated
opening.
A pluggable depth measuring sensor for conducting
measurements in deep material and a pluggable thermo
sensor for determining the surface temperature are both
available as optional accessories.

3. Initial operation
3.1 Inserting the batteries
The battery compartment for the measuring
instrument HPM 3000+ is located at the rear. Two
AA mignon LR6 batteries are required for operation.
The battery compartment cover can be opened by
lightly pressing and simultaneously sliding the cover.
Insert the batteries while paying attention to the
correct polarity and reattach the cover.
3.2 Operating the menus
When the instrument is switched on it is located in the
measuring mode (see. 3.7)
Press the -key to access the main menu.
You can now select the relevant menu point using the
arrow keys.
The corresponding sub-menu is opened or the highlighted
setting is adopted by pressing the -key.
You can access the previous level menu without
confirming any changed settings by using the back
key.
