Starting the lawnmower
Starting a cold engine
- Press the fuel injection pump 2 to 3 times.*
- Pull the shift/brake lever to the handle and hold it.
- Hold the starter cord with your right hand. Pull it slowly until you feel resistance. Then pull the starter
cord firmly and quickly. Never wrap the starter cord around your hand.
- WARNING! Do not pull the starter cord out completely. Do not release the starter cord if it is pulled out
completely - it may damage the engine of the machine.
* with the exception of the QL46PD-139 model
Starting warm engine
- To start a warm engine, follow the same procedure as for
starting a cold engine. There is no need to press the fuel
injection pump.
- CAUTION: A small amount of smoke may be emitted when
the engine is started up for the first time as the protective
layers in the engine are burnt off. This is completely normal
and does not constitute a problem.
Electric start (model QL46P-139E)
- Press the electric start button to start the mower engine.
Stopping the engine
- To turn off engine release the start/brake lever.
Controlling travel
- The travel is controlled using the travel lever. When the lever is pulled to the handle, the lawnmower will
start moving. To stop, release the lever.
