Overview

The STREND PRO ZOE-7.2LD-15/A is a cordless garden pruner designed primarily for pruning tree branches in fruit orchards. It offers simple and convenient operation, with a pruning efficiency 8 to 10 times higher than classic manual loppers, and significantly improved pruning quality. The device is equipped with a safety lock for enhanced user protection.

Technical Specifications:

  • Maximum Branch Thickness: 2.5 cm
  • Weight: 0.82 kg
  • Operating Temperature: -10°C to +45°C
  • Battery Type: Li-ion
  • Battery Voltage: 7.2 V
  • Battery Capacity: 1.5 Ah
  • Charge Time: 3-5 hours
  • Charger Voltage/Frequency: 230 V / 50 Hz
  • Charger Output Voltage: 9 V
  • Charger Output Current: 400 mA

Usage Features:

The pruner is designed for specific purposes, and any other use is considered misuse, for which the user, not the manufacturer, will be responsible for any damage or injury. It is not intended for commercial or industrial use, and the warranty will be void if used for such purposes.

Before inserting the battery, ensure the power switch is in the "0-off" position to prevent accidental start-up. Only use the manufacturer-approved charger for the battery. Using other chargers or battery types may lead to damage or fire. When not in use, store the battery separately from metal objects to prevent short-circuiting. Handle batteries with care; improper treatment can cause chemical fluid leakage. If contact occurs, wash the affected area with water and seek medical assistance if it gets into eyes. Do not expose the battery or tool to fire or temperatures above 130°C, as this may cause an explosion. Do not use damaged or modified batteries or tools.

The device can be used with a telescopic handle for pruning branches at greater heights or in hard-to-reach places. The telescopic handle allows for both vertical and horizontal tilt adjustments. To adjust the vertical tilt, press the tilt adjustment release knob, set the desired angle (0° to 90° with 4 available settings), and then release the knob to lock. For horizontal tilt, grasp the telescopic handle in one hand and the holder in the other, then rotate the holder to the desired angle (-90° to 90°).

To operate the pruner, maintain a stable posture and balance. Work only in safely reachable areas and do not overexert yourself. Always wear work gloves. The device has a locking button to prevent accidental start-up; to prune, press the trigger (3) and the locking button (4) simultaneously. Release the trigger (3) to return the blade to the open position. When using the telescopic handle, press the trigger (15) and the locking button (14) simultaneously, and release the trigger (15) to return the blade to the open position.

Helpful Hints for Pruning:

  • Prune at a distance of 8mm from the buds. The maximum cutting diameter is approximately 25mm.
  • Cut away from the buds to minimize water loss.
  • Avoid cutting too close to the trunk to facilitate wound healing.
  • Always keep hands away from the cutting area and use appropriate safety devices.
  • Do not cut branches growing from the trunk and buds; instead, cut weak and damaged branches.
  • Always cut branches one at a time, never together.

Maintenance Features:

Before any inspection or maintenance, switch off the device and remove the battery. Clean the cordless loppers thoroughly after each use using a soft cloth or by blowing away dirt with a low-pressure compressor. For stubborn impurities, use a soft cloth moistened with soapy water. Never use detergents or solvents like petrol, alcohol, or ammonia, as these can damage the plastic parts. Do not clean the appliance under running water or use a high-pressure compressor, as this poses a risk of injury or damage.

Keep the blades sharp and clean for optimal pruning results. Regularly inspect the device for worn or damaged components and replace them for safety. Only authorized service centers or dealers should replace worn or damaged parts, and only original spare parts should be used. Store the device in a dry, frost-proof place, out of reach of children.

Battery and Charger Safety Instructions:

Read the operating instructions carefully before initial use. The battery is supplied discharged and must be charged before first use. Ensure the electrical current matches the charger's specifications. Do not expose the charging area to moisture, rain, or running water. Do not charge the battery below 0°C or above 45°C, as extreme temperatures can reduce its lifespan. Dispose of damaged, unchargeable batteries as hazardous waste; do not throw them in the trash, fire, or water. Only use manufacturer-approved batteries and chargers. Never dismantle or attempt to repair the battery. Avoid short-circuiting or using damaged/distorted batteries. Do not charge the battery near open flames, heat sources, or direct sunlight. Do not damage the charger with nails, hammers, or by stepping on it. Never connect the battery directly to a charging outlet or car charger. Do not touch the battery with bare hands or insert it into high-temperature/pressure containers. Do not use a leaking battery. Keep the battery out of reach of children and avoid direct sunlight exposure, which can cause overheating or fire. Do not use the battery in areas with static electricity (over 64V). If corrosion marks, unpleasant odors, or unusual events occur during first use, stop using the battery and return it to the dealer. In case of skin, clothing, or eye contact with battery fluid, rinse immediately with water and neutralize with a weak acid (e.g., lemon juice or vinegar). For eye contact, rinse with plenty of clean water for at least 10 minutes and consult a doctor. Never store the battery in a discharged state. Keep the charger clean and free from dust. Avoid explosion hazards; do not smoke while charging or storing the battery, as defective batteries may leak explosive hydrogen gas that can ignite from open flames or sparks.
