What to do if my Stübbe SHM is not pumping?
    • B

If your Stübbe Water Pump isn't pumping, it could be due to a few reasons. Check if the intake/suction pipe and/or pressure line is blocked by a fitting and open it. Ensure the intake/suction pipe is fully open. Also, the intake/suction pipe, pump, or suction strainer might be blocked or encrusted, so clean them. It's also possible that the cross section of the intake/suction pipe is too narrow, so you should increase it and remove any encrustation. Finally, make sure the transport and sealing cover is removed, and inspect the pump for any dry-running damage.

Why is my Stübbe SHM Water Pump not pumping anything?
    • J
      James RomanSep 1, 2025
If your Stübbe Water Pump is not pumping, it might be because the intake/suction pipe is not completely open, so open the fitting. It also might be because the intake / suction pipe and/or pressure line is closed by fitting, so open the fitting.

Why is the pumping rate of my Stübbe Water Pump insufficient?
    • M
      millersharonNov 21, 2025
If your Stübbe Water Pump has an insufficient pumping rate, several factors could be responsible. The suction head might be too large, so increase pump inlet pressure. The system's back pressure could be too high, or the pump might be too small. Ensure the intake/suction pipe and pump are correctly vented and completely filled. If the intake/suction pipe contains trapped air, install a fitting for venting and adjust the piping. Also, check for air being sucked in and seal the source of the problem. Other potential issues include a high proportion of gas, high fluid temperature, or the pumped liquid's viscosity being outside the specified range. Clean sediments from the pump and/or pressure pipe. Open the pressure-side fitting. If the magnetic coupling has parted, switch the pump off and on...
