To

from Playback
One of the two
followlng
methods
may
be used to
go
lnto
urecord"
from
"playback"
for
lnserttng,
etc. The
ftrst
ls to
press
the
playback
button
ard
to hold
lt down. At the deslred
moment
the re-
cord button ls
pressed
as well arrl the
machlne
ls then ln

ard both buttons may
be
re-
leased. The secord method ls to Uft the tape off
the
erase and record heads by means of the
knurled wheel next to the record button. The machlne
can
now
be switched lnto record normally
ard
exlstlng recordlngs may be monltored vla the
playback
head,
but
no
erasure or recordlng can
take
place
untll the knurled wheel is
released
and
the tape thereby
brought lnto contact wlth the
erase ard
record
heads.

The
signal may be monltored before or
after
recordlng.
The necessary operatlng
controls
are
mounted
on the sync-playback
ampllfler
panel.
To
monltor
before recordlng

tape has come to rest to
avold any danger of

or breakage.
The
"fast-forward"
and

buttons may be operated
durlng
playback
or

re-
cordlng.
A magnetlc
screen
may
be
moved
ln
front
of the
replay
head by means of
the knurled wheel on the
