(3)Diagnostic Procedure
1. Confirm the pre-conditions for connection
Check that the following conditions are present.
ͻ The vehicle ACC and ignition are on.
The CID and meter screen display when the CCU is started up (refer to "CCU does not start up"
if this is not the case)
ͻ The parking brake is applied (the parking brake only needs to be used at initialize)
ͻ Apple CarPlay cannot be started up
CarPlay and Android Auto cannot be started up at the same time.
CarPlay must be closed to start up Android Auto
ͻ The Android Auto application must be installed on the connection device
Android Auto is not a standard Android application so the application must be installed
separately If Android Auto cannot be installed, the device is not compatible with Android Auto
ͻ The Android Auto initial settings have been finalized
Android Auto cannot be connected until the initial settings are finalized on the mobile phone
device.
ͻ The mobile phone device has Android OS Version 7.1 or higher installed
If the version is lower than 7.1, operation is not ensured.
No 㻌㻌Take corrective measures for the conditions that are not satisfied.
Yes 㻌㻌Proceed to step 2
2. Check the AUX-BOX
ͻ Are there other USB devices (audio USB, etc.) that can connect to the CCU and be recognized?
Insert the USB flash drive that contains the AUDIO file to the AUX-BOX connector. Is the USB
audio recognized from MEDIA, and played?
No 㻌㻌to "USB connection not recognized"
Yes 㻌㻌Proceed to the next step
ͻ Is there a break in the USB cable connecting the AUX-BOX connector and device?
No㻌㻌 Proceed to step 3
Yes Replace USB cable
