  If you're having trouble setting cruise control on your Subaru Automobile, make sure you've pressed the (CRUISE) switch, and that the (Adaptive Cruise Control) indicator is displayed.   The [READY] indicator in your Subaru Automobile might not be displayed if you've selected Conventional Cruise Control. Also, ensure that you meet all the requirements for setting cruise control: that the brake pedal is not depressed, the vehicle speed is between approximately 25 MPH (40 km/h) and 90 MPH (145 km/h), the shift position indicator is in D, the driver’s seatbelt is fastened, all doors are closed, the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle is not on a steep grade, the steering wheel is not turned significantly, Vehicle Dynamics Control is on, and X-mode is turned off.

  If EyeSight doesn't restart in your Subaru Automobile after a temporary stop, check if Vehicle Dynamics Control is turned off or if the X-mode is turned on, as EyeSight cannot be activated in either of these conditions. Also, driving in the rain with old wipers or an oily film on the windshield can prevent EyeSight from restarting. Consider replacing the wipers or cleaning the windshield. Additionally, direct sunlight or bright headlights at nighttime can cause EyeSight to temporarily stop operating.
