12.Attach the child restraint fixing clip to
the child restraint upper anchorage and
tighten the upper anchorage strap. For ad-
ditional instructions, refer to the “Child re-
straint upper anchorages” section in this
manual.
13.To remove the child restraint system,
press the release button on the seatbelt
buckle and allow the belt to retract com-
pletely. The belt will return to the ELR
mode. Unhook the child restraint fixing clip
from the child restraint upper anchorage.
NOTE
When the child restraint system is no
longer in use, remove it and restore the
ELR function of the retractor. That
function is restored by allowing the
seatbelt to retract fully.
Installing a booster cushion
1. Place the booster cushion in the seat-
ing position and sit the child on it. The
child should sit well back on the booster
cushion.
2. Run the lap and shoulder belt through
or around the booster cushion and the
child following the instructions provided by
its manufacturer.
NOTE
Installing a child restraint system on
the rear center seating position is not
recommended, but if it is unavoidable,
install the child restraint system by
properly routing the rear center
seatbelt through the belt guide. For in-
formation about using the seatbelt
guide, refer to the “Fastening the
