Precautions against vehicle
modification
Consult your SUBARU dealer if you want
to install any accessory parts to your vehi-
cle.
Flat tires
If you have a flat tire while driving, never
brake suddenly; keep driving straight
ahead while gradually reducing speed.
Then slowly pull off the road to a safe
place.
Maintenance tools
Your vehicle is equipped with the following
maintenance tools:
y Jack
y Jack handle
y Screwdriver
y Towing hook (eye bolt)
y Wheel nut wrench
T Tool bag
1) Screwdriver
2) Wheel nut wrench
3) Tool bag
The screwdriver and wheel nut wrench
are stored in the tool bag. These tools can
also be stored in the tool bucket.
T Under the rear floor
The jack, jack handle and towing hook are
stored as shown in the following illustra-
tions.
Do not perform any of the following
modifications. Such modifications
can interfere with proper operation
of the seatbelt pretensioners.
y Attachment of any equipment
(bush bar, bullbar, winches, snow
plow, skid/sump plate, etc.) to the
front end other than genuine
SUBARU accessory parts or parts
that match the quality of genuine
SUBARU accessory parts.
y Modification of the suspension
system or front end structure.
y Installation of a tire of different
size and construction from the
tires specified on the vehicle plac-
ard attached to the driver’s door
pillar or specified for individual
vehicle models in this Owner’s
Manual.
