Usage Features

  • Interface Definition: The battery pack provides various interfaces for connectivity and control.
    • P+ / P-: Power terminals for connection to the inverter or load.
    • ON/OFF: Power switch for the battery system.
    • RUN / ALM / SOC: LED indicators for system status, alarm, and State of Charge.
    • RS485 / CAN / RS232: Communication ports for monitoring and control.
    • GROUND SCREW: Grounding point for safety.
    • DISPLAY: For local display of information.
    • DRY CONTACT: For external control signals.
    • ADD: For addressing in parallel configurations.
    • SWITCH: For specific functions.
    • REWET: For specific functions.
  • Communication:
    • RS232: Allows communication with a host computer to monitor battery voltage, current, temperature, status, SOC, SOH, and production information. Default baud rate is 9600bps.
    • RS485: Dual interfaces for viewing PACK information. Default baud rate is 9600bps. Monitoring devices can poll data as a host, with address settings from 2 to 15.
    • CAN: Communication with a baud rate of 500K.
  • LED Indication: A series of LEDs (RUN, ALM, and battery indicators L1-L6) provide visual feedback on the battery's operating status, alarms, and capacity. Different flashing patterns indicate various conditions like normal operation, alarms, protection states, and charging/discharging progress.
  • Buzzer Action: The system includes a buzzer to alert users to failures (0.25S beep every 1S), protection events (0.25S beep every 2S, except overvoltage), and alarms (0.25S beep every 3S, except overvoltage alarm). The buzzer function can be enabled or disabled.
  • Key Description: A button on the device allows for:
    • Activation: Pressing for 3-6 seconds from dormant state activates the protection board.
    • Sleep Mode: Pressing for 3-6 seconds from activated state puts the protection board to sleep.
    • Reset: Pressing for 6-10 seconds resets the protection board, with all LEDs lighting up for 1.5 seconds. Parameters set by the host computer are retained after reset.
  • Sleep and Wake-up: The system enters a low-power (sleep) mode under specific conditions (e.g., prolonged over-discharge protection, button press, low cell voltage, extended standby, forced shutdown via software). It can be woken up by connecting a charger (output voltage > 48V), pressing the button for 3 seconds, or connecting a communication line and opening the upper computer software (this method cannot wake up from over-discharge protection sleep).
  • DIP Switch Settings: For parallel operation, DIP switches allow setting unique hardware addresses (0-15) for each battery pack in the stack.

Maintenance Features

  • Routine Maintenance:
    • Per Month: Keep away from heat sources and avoid direct sunlight. Visually inspect for damage, leaks, or deformation; faulty packs should be disconnected and replaced.
    • Each Quarter: Clean the exterior with a cotton cloth, taking care due to high voltage. Check and retighten terminal bolts if loose. If connection line temperature exceeds 40°C, investigate the cause.
    • Every Half Year: At the end of charging, measure and record busbar and terminal voltages to ensure consistency. Perform real-time data collection at the end of discharge (at least every six months in the first year, then every three months from the second year). If a cell frequently triggers overcharge/overdischarge alarms, replacement is recommended.
  • Storage:
    • Store at 20-40% SOC in a clean, dry, ventilated, rain-proof room at -5°C to 35°C and <75% relative humidity.
    • Place flat, at least 100mm from the ground.
    • Keep away from active chemicals or dusting items.
    • Avoid mechanical shock or heavy pressure.
    • Avoid direct sunlight, keep away from fire sources (at least 2M).
    • Charge every 3 months with 0.2-0.5C for 30-60 minutes, at 25°C±5°C.
  • Transportation:
    • Package and ship carefully, avoiding severe vibration, shock, extrusion, sun, and rain.
    • Suitable for transport by cars, trains, ships, and planes.
  • General Maintenance:
    • Maintain SOC at 40-60%.
    • For long-term storage, charge with 0.2C current every three months.
    • Do not install or remove battery components yourself; unauthorized disassembly or replacement is strictly prohibited.

Battery Usage Precautions

  • Read the manual carefully before use.
  • Ensure correct polarity during charging.
  • Avoid adverse environments (extreme temperatures, deep cycling, frequent overcharge/overdischarge).
  • Stop using immediately and report abnormalities to a professional.
  • Keep batteries and BMS away from dangerous goods.
  • Do not short-circuit, burn, destroy, disassemble, squeeze, pierce, or expose to rain.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and temperatures above 60°C.
  • Do not discard in garbage.
  • Do not use with other types of batteries in series or parallel.
  • Do not use new and old batteries (groups) in series or parallel.
