4. Ensure that the fibre connection is set to loop mode.
5. Configure target IDs.
6. Create one logical drive for each server and configure spare disks.
7. Map Logical Drive 0 to channels 0 and 5 of the primary controller.
8. Map Logical Drive 1 to channels 1 and 4 of the secondary controller.
9. Map remaining even-numbered logical drives to channels 0 and 5 of the primary
controller.
10. Map remaining odd-numbered logical drives to channels 1 and 4 of the secondary
controller.
11. Connect the first server (Server 1) to the left-most port FC0 of the upper controller
and port FC4 of the lower controller.
12. Connect the second server (Server 2) to the right-most port FC0 of the upper
controller and port FC5 of the lower controller.
13. Connect the third server (Server 3) to port FC4 of the upper controller and the left-
most FC1 port of the lower controller.
14. Connect the fourth server (Server 4) to port FC5 of the upper controller and the
right-most FC1 port of the lower controller.
15. Connect the fifth server (Server 5) to the left-most FC1 port of the upper controller
and the left-most FC0 port of the lower controller.
16. Connect the sixth server (Server 6) to the right-most FC1 port of the upper
controller and the right-most FC0 port of the lower controller.
17. Install and enable multipathing software on each connected server.
18. After completing the configuration, save the configuration using “Save nvram to
disks” menu option in the firmware application and the “save configuration”
command in Sun StorEdge Configuration Service.
