Overview

This document describes a direct thermal kitchen cloud printer, designed primarily for commercial scenarios such as food delivery, scan-to-order, and order broadcasting. It is suitable for restaurants, bakeries, and retail stores, offering order printing and payment information broadcasting functionalities.

Function Description

The printer operates via direct thermal printing, with a maximum print speed of 250 mm/s and an effective print width of 72 mm (±0.1 mm) on 80 mm wide thermal receipt paper. It supports automatic paper cutting (full or half cut mode) and features an easy-loading structure for paper rolls.

Key components include:

  • Door Cover and Door Cover Button: Used to open the printer for installing or replacing paper rolls. Pressing the button automatically pops open the cover.
  • Power Button: Controls the printer's power. Pressing "|" turns it on, and "No ID" turns it off.
  • Paper Feed Button: A long press initiates blank paper feed, and releasing it stops the feed.
  • Volume Adjustment Button: Allows adjustment of the speaker volume.
  • Cash Box Port: An RJ12 port (24V/1A) for connecting and driving a cash box. The printer supports external 24V/1A cash boxes. It's crucial to ensure the printer is shut down when connecting the cash box.
  • USB Port: A TYPE-C USB2.0 port for connecting to POS machines and other equipment for USB printing. Ensure the printer is shut down when connecting the data cable.
  • DC Power Port: A 24V/2.5A DC port for power supply. The power button should be in the off position when connecting the power cord.
  • LAN Network Port: An RJ45 port (Max. 100 Mbps) for connecting to a local area network (LAN) to print orders from other devices or to a wide area network (WAN) for cloud-issued orders.
  • Pairing Button: Long pressing for over 3 seconds enters network pairing mode. Double-clicking executes a network self-inspection program and prints a network detection report.

Important Technical Specifications

The printer features a 64 MB Flash Memory and 256 MB of standard memory. It supports Unicode character sets including UTF-8, GB18030, KSC5601, JIS0208, and other multi-country codes, as well as custom characters.

Connectivity options include:

  • 4G: Available on NT312 and NT313 models, supporting GSM/TD-SCDMA/UMTS, TDD-LTE/FDD-LTE.
  • WiFi: Available on NT311 and NT312 models, supporting IEEE 802.11 b/g/n 2.4G.
  • Bluetooth: Available on NT311 and NT312 models, supporting BT4.2 BLE 2.4GHz.

The integrated speaker has a power of 3W and a volume of ≥105 dB. Sensors include:

  • Out of Paper Sensor: Detects when paper is out.
  • Cover Flip Sensor: Detects if the cover is open.
  • Paper Blockage Sensor: Detects printing paper blockages.
  • Paper Exhaustion Sensor: (Optional) Detects paper exhaustion.
  • Paper Pick-Up Sensor: Detects printed paper pick-up.
  • Temperature Sensor: Provides overheat detection and protection.
  • Black Label Sensor: Detects black label printing paper.

The printer operates on a DC 24V/2.5A input power supply. Its dimensions are 130×130×130 mm. It adheres to the ESC/POS print instruction set and has an IP52 protection level. The working environment temperature range is 0°C to 45°C with 30% to 85% humidity. For storage, the temperature range is -20°C to 60°C with 10% to 90% humidity. Supported barcodes include UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-13, EAN-8, Code 11, Code 39, Code 39 Extended, Code 2 of 5 Matrix, Code 2 of 5 Interleaved, Code 2 of 5 Industrial, Code 2 of 5 IATA, PDF417 Truncated, PDF417, Code 2 of 5 Datalogic, CODABAR, Code 93, Code 128, GS1 DataBar, GS1 DataBar Expanded, and MSI Plessey.

Usage Features

The printer provides visual indicators for various states:

  • Power Indicator (Green): On for startup, off for shutdown.
  • Network Indicator (Blue): On for server connection, off for disconnection.
  • Abnormality Indicator (Red): On for paper shortage, paper blockage, or abnormal voltage. Flashes for print head overheating. Off for normal operation.
  • Reminder Indicator (White): Flashes for paper to be taken away or blocked. On when the paper roll is about to run out (if equipped with a paper sensor). Off when no reminder is needed.

For paper loading, simply press the door cover button, place the paper roll in the direction shown in the figure, and then close the flip cover.

Maintenance Features

The manual provides troubleshooting steps for common issues:

  • Power indicator not on: Check power connection and power button.
  • Abnormality indicator on (paper out): Install new paper roll.
  • Abnormality indicator on (abnormal input voltage): Turn off the printer and check the input voltage.
  • Abnormality indicator flashes (print head overheating): Wait for the print head to cool.
  • Abnormality indicator flashes (paper blocked): Open the cover, check the paper outlet, and remove the blockage.
  • Network indicator not on (device disconnected from server): Double-click the pairing button to print a network self-inspection page and check the report.
  • Printed content not clear or tainted: Replace printer core, clean print head or paper feed stick.
  • Print out a blank page (consumables reversed): Place consumables correctly.
  • Print out a blank page (paper blocked): Check if the paper roll is loaded correctly.

For cleaning, it is recommended to clean the print head and rubber stick monthly using cotton swabs dipped in anhydrous alcohol. Avoid scratching the print head and rubber stick with hard objects. The product is a Class B device, meaning it may cause radio interference in a living environment, requiring users to take practical measures. It is strictly prohibited to use the printer in the presence of potentially explosive gas or in humid, dusty, or inflammable/explosive environments. The paper tearing knife is sharp and should not be touched. Non-professionals should not disassemble the printer. Products that have reached or exceeded their environmental protection service life should be recycled and reused according to regulations and not discarded randomly.
