sunlight. Do not leave your earmuffs in areas where it can be exposed to damage.
Hearing protectors should be inspected prior to use for damage or deterioration. Damaged or worn parts should be replaced prior to use. The noise
reduction will only be obtained if the earmuffs are in good order and worn as directed. Ear muffs, and in particular cushions, may deteriorate with use
and should be examined at frequent intervals for cracking and leakage. Hygiene kit/cushions should be replaced twice a year or when the cushion show
signs of damage or hardening.

To achieve optimal comfort and best effect from this hearing protector, you must use, maintain and adjust the protector according to the following
instructions.

Overview

The JACKSON SAFETY Brand H70 Vibe® Passive Earmuffs are designed to provide hearing protection in various noise environments. These earmuffs are available in both headband and capmount styles, offering flexibility for different user preferences and applications.

Function Description:

The primary function of the H70 Vibe® Passive Earmuffs is to reduce noise exposure, protecting the wearer's hearing. They achieve this through passive noise attenuation, meaning they do not use electronic components for noise cancellation but rather rely on their physical design and materials to block sound. The earmuffs are categorized by their Noise Reduction Rating (NRR), which indicates the average amount of noise reduction provided in decibels. Different NRR levels are available to suit various noise environments, from low to high intensity.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Styles:
    • Headband: Available with NRR 23 (Orange), NRR 26 (Red), and NRR 29 (Black).
    • Capmount: Available with NRR 22 (Orange), NRR 25 (Red), and NRR 27 (Black).
  • Headband Material: Nylon with vinyl head cushion; dielectric. This material choice ensures durability and comfort, while the dielectric property means the earmuffs do not conduct electricity, making them suitable for environments where electrical hazards might be present.
  • Standards: Complies with ANSI S3.19-1974, a standard for hearing protection devices.
  • Packaging: Clamshell.
  • Case Count: All models are packaged as 1/pack.
  • NRR 22 and 23: Suitable for low noise environments such as lawn mowers, industrial work, and traffic noise.
  • NRR 25 and 26: Recommended for medium noise environments, including rock concerts, circular saws, and electric guitars.
  • NRR 27 and 28: Designed for high noise environments, such as airport ground crew, motor racing, rifle and pistol shooting, and using drill hammers.

Usage Features:

  • Fitting and Adjustments:
    • Capmount Style: To fit, push the slot adapter into the helmet's accessory slot until it snaps into place. Position the earmuffs over the ears and press inwards until a click is heard. Adjust the earmuffs for a comfortable fit on the head, ensuring the ears are completely enclosed and there is even pressure around them.
    • General: Optimal comfort and effectiveness require proper adjustment. Users must ensure the earmuffs completely enclose their ears and maintain even pressure to achieve the stated noise reduction.
  • Dielectric Property: The headband material is dielectric, which means it does not conduct electricity. This is a crucial safety feature for workers in environments with electrical risks.
  • Comfort: The nylon headband with a vinyl head cushion is designed for comfort during extended wear.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Clean the earmuffs using warm water and soap.
    • Ensure the soap used does not irritate the skin or damage the cushion material.
    • Components should be thoroughly dried before use to prevent moisture-related issues.
  • Storage:
    • Store earmuffs dry and clean, preferably in their original packaging.
    • Keep them at normal room temperature, away from direct sunlight.
    • Avoid storing them in areas where they could be exposed to damage.
  • Inspection and Replacement:
    • Hearing protectors should be inspected prior to each use for any signs of damage or deterioration.
    • Damaged or worn parts must be replaced immediately to maintain effectiveness.
    • The noise reduction capability is only ensured if the earmuffs are in good condition and worn correctly.
    • Earmuff cushions, in particular, are prone to deterioration with use and should be examined frequently for cracks and leaks.
    • It is recommended to replace hygiene kits/cushions twice a year or whenever the cushion shows signs of damage or hardening. This ensures continued hygiene and optimal performance.

Workmanship Requirement:

The hearing protection devices are manufactured according to reasonable industry practices, free from defects, dirt, and contamination. Packaging is designed to clearly describe the product's design, suspension, and color, and to contain the appropriate quantity as listed.

The JACKSON SAFETY H70 Vibe® Passive Earmuffs offer a reliable and comfortable solution for hearing protection across a spectrum of noisy environments, emphasizing user safety, comfort, and ease of maintenance.
