A
STARTING UP
1. If you wish to use the emergency function, insert 9V batteries into the motor

2. Connect the electricity cable to the motor, then insert the plug into the socket

3. The remote should be pre-programmed by the manufacturer and ready for use. If not, see steps 4-7.

simultaneously until a red light flashes. The remote is now in setting mode, and the previous
setting has been wiped.
5. Hold the remote control next to the motor you would like to operate. The bed makes a small movement that confirmes
the connection. If you want to control two beds at the same time using a single remote control, repeat this process for
bed #2.
6. To exit setting mode, briefly press buttons
2
and
3
and the red lights will
switch off. You are now ready to operate your bed(s).
7. To revert to operating just one bed, repeat steps 4-7.
MEMORY FUNCTION
1. To save a position, elevate your bed to the desired position.
2. Press the round button

and keep it down until you notice that the bed reacts with
a quick up-and-down motion.
3. Press the round button briefly again and the bed will return to its starting position.
4. To later activate your saved posistion, just briefly press the round button.
USAGE
The bed’s motor is not designed for continuous usage. The bed will only continue to be reliable and
operate for its normal lifetime, if the motor does not operate any longer than 2 minutes during a
18-minute period. If this limit is exceeded, the lifetime of the product will be reduced and the war-
ranty will no longer apply.
LOW BATTERY
A flashing red light indicates low battery levels of the remote.
NIGHT LIGHTS
Briefly press button
2
to activate the under-bed lights.
EMERGENCY FUNCTION
In the event of a power failure, make sure 9V batteries are installed in the motor.
The bed can then be elevated into a horizontal position by following these few steps:
1. Press button

on the remote and hold for 5-10 seconds until the bed starts to elevate.
2. Repeat the same procedure for button

.
3. Replace the batteries if you ever have to perform this procedure.
MALFUNCTION
If you are unable to adjust the bed, please try the following:
• Check whether the plug has been inserted properly into the socket, and that it is connected to the power supply
• Check if the power supply has a green light
• Check that there are batteries in the remote control. Replace the batteries if they have run out
• If necessary, remove the plug from the socket and repeat the procedure described above
• Reconnect the remote control to the bed(s)
IMPORTANT!
If the bed you have purchased has a joint sleeping surface, make sure
you connect both adjustable bases to each remote, and to the
«Svane
®
Remote» app. For instructions, see steps 4-7 below, or the app.
