The SWIT S-2070 is a Chip-Array LED Camera Light designed to provide bright, soft, and glareless illumination for camera setups. It utilizes new generation chip-array LED technology, ensuring a wide 60° beam angle for equally spread light and single shadows, which is ideal for professional video and photography applications.
The S-2070 serves as a versatile lighting solution for cameras, offering adjustable color temperature and illuminance. It can output light at 5000K, and with the use of included filters, it can also provide 5600K or 3200K light. The illuminance can be smoothly adjusted from 10% to 100% using a dimmer knob, allowing users precise control over the lighting intensity to suit various shooting environments. The device is designed for easy integration with camera setups, featuring both cold shoe and 1/4" screw mount options for secure attachment. Its compact and lightweight design makes it highly portable, while the high intensity and toughness glass fiber housing ensures durability.
The S-2070 offers flexible power supply options to accommodate different user needs. It can be powered by a special slim S-8040 battery (optional purchase), various standard DV camera batteries via compatible S-7004 series battery plates, or directly through a DC cable. When using the S-8040 battery, users simply align and press the charged battery into the DV mount slot and slide it downward to snap into place. For standard DV camera batteries, the appropriate S-7004 series battery plate is attached to the DV mount slot with two screws, and then a charged battery is mounted onto the S-7004 plate. For DC power, an optional S-7104 D-tap power cable or S-7108 pole-tap DC cable can be plugged into the DC-IN port. It's crucial to ensure the light is switched off ("O" position) before connecting any power source. For third-party DC cables, the connector should be 5.5/2.1mm with inner positive and outer negative polarity, and the input voltage must be between 6-17V.
Mounting the LED light to a camera is straightforward. For cold shoe mounting, the fasten knob is revolved anticlockwise until the screw bolt is back, then the cold shoe slice is aligned with the camera's cold shoe mount, and the knob is revolved clockwise to secure the light. For 1/4" screw mounting, the fasten knob is revolved clockwise until the screw bolt is out, then the screw bolt is aligned with the camera's 1/4" screw thread, and the knob is continuously revolved clockwise to install the light.
Once mounted, the angle of the light can be adjusted by simply holding the light and moving it upward or downward. The barn doors and filters can be opened to approximately 45° to shape the light beam. To operate the device, the power switch is turned to "I". The illuminance is then adjusted using the dimmer knob. Color temperature adjustments are made by using the 5600K filter for 5600K output or the 3200K filter for 3200K output.
Proper maintenance is essential to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of the S-2070. Users are advised not to disassemble the light or touch its interior with metal objects, as this can damage the equipment. The device should not be stored in dusty or wet environments, which could lead to damage. The recommended working temperature range is between -10°C and 40°C, and the storage temperature range is between -20°C and 55°C. It is also important not to block the cooling vent to prevent overheating.
For cleaning, the light and diffuser should be wiped with a soft, dry cloth. Alternatively, a soft cloth dipped in a neutral detergent can be used first, followed by wiping with a soft, dry cloth. It is crucial to avoid using wet cloths, anhydrous alcohol, benzene, or mixtures of anhydrous alcohol and ether for cleaning, as these substances can cause damage to the device. Adhering to these cleaning guidelines will help maintain the optical clarity and physical integrity of the S-2070.
