2 situated above the RC compressor where it evaporates (pic. B.4). This periodical defrosting
of ice formation in RC is obligatory and means the normal operation of the appliance.
In case you should notice drained water inside RC because the water outlet is clogged,
rinse the system. Draw out the drain water outlet (pic. B.4) from the drain pan. Clean the
clogged outlet by filling it with 200 g of warm water (you may use spray bulb). Repeat the
operation until the water from the outlet becomes clean. Set the drain water outlet back into
the opening of the drain pan 2.
In order to prevent the clogging of drain system it's recommended to repeat the cleaning
procedure 1-2 times per year.
7.2 In case of small ice formation on the inner walls and shelf of FC, it should be removed
without waiting for the next defrosting of FC.
Never use sharp metal articles to remove ice formation!
7.3 In case you should notice excessive ice formation (more than 5 mm thick), switch the
appliance off and thaw it manually.
It's recommended to combine defrosting procedure with cleaning procedure while the
refrigerator-freezer is not fully loaded with food.
Defrosting is to be carried out as follows:
- switch the appliance off;
- remove the drawers 11, 12 (pic. B.1) and berry tray 10 with food and food from shelf
of FC. Pack frozen foods in paper and leave them in cool place;
- leave the door of the FC opened, open off the shutter 9 (pic. B.1).
Defrosting time can be reduced if you put the vessel with hot water (60-70
0

FC. Set the vessel carefully to avoid damages of the evaporator.
7.4 After defrosting remove the water from FC with sponge or soft cloth and clean the
interior of the appliance in accordance with item 5.2.
As preventive measure we recommend to defrost the FC at least 1 time per 5-6 months
and to clean the RC at least 1 time per month.
To extract the drawer 11 and 12 (pic. B.1) from the appliance, pull it out, then lift front part
upwards and extract from the cabinet. Drawers are protected against accidental extraction.
7.5 If the appliance is switched off for a lengthy time, please carry out defrosting and
cleaning procedures, leave the doors of the appliance slightly opened in order to prevent the
appearance of unpleasant odour.
