If your Sylvania TV VCR Combo isn't responding to the remote, first ensure the power cord is connected to a working AC outlet. Then, check the batteries in the remote and make sure they're fresh. Aim the remote directly at the sensor, removing any obstructions. Also, be sure you're within 23 feet of the unit. Lastly, verify that the correct mode is selected by pressing the [SELECT] button.
