Serial Port Option Parameters (future expansion)
The ND clock contains both an RS232 and RS485 serial port. These ports are auxiliary ports may
be used in conjunction with future supported serial port devices.
A Serial devices settings button is included for setting up the RS232 or RS485 serial port
communications. These ports are automatically configured as disabled by default at the factory for
standard operation.
[Note: it is not necessary to enable the serial port interface to utilize the serial port for
configuration purposes. The serial port interface will operate by default for configuration of the
network clock.]
[Note: Enabling serial port attached devices by selecting the checkbox will disable the serial port
Telnet interface. To re-enable the serial port Telnet the checkbox must be cleared using
WinDiscovery, or the unit must be RESET to factory default.]
