The enLink Status-DP/AF is a LoRaWAN wireless sensor designed for monitoring differential pressure and airflow. It operates on a long-range wireless network, making it suitable for various applications where remote monitoring is required. The device is battery-powered, offering a long operational life, which is beneficial for installations in hard-to-reach locations or where frequent battery changes are impractical.
The enLink Status-DP/AF serves a dual purpose: it can function as either a differential pressure monitor or an airflow monitor, depending on the probes used.
As a differential pressure monitor (Status-DP), it measures differential pressure in a range of 25Pa to 5000Pa with high accuracy. This function is particularly useful for detecting blocked filters in building ventilation systems. By monitoring the pressure difference across a filter, the device can identify when a filter starts to clog, as its resistance to airflow increases, leading to a rise in differential pressure. This capability is crucial for maintaining air quality, reducing the risk of spreading disease, and ensuring the efficient operation of HVAC systems. Clogged filters can lead to an undersupply of ventilation, increased energy consumption, noisy fan operation, and can even become breeding grounds for mold and bacteria. The Status-DP is supplied with a Duct Fixing Kit for easy installation to monitor differential pressure.
As an airflow monitor (Status-AF), it measures air velocity in the range of 0 to 40m/s with high accuracy. This allows users to ensure that recommended airflow rates for public buildings and industrial plants are achieved. Maintaining proper airflow is vital for the efficient operation of HVAC systems. Lower airflow can lead to an underperforming system, while higher loads can result in reduced efficiency and increased running costs. The Status-AF is supplied with Multi-Point Air Velocity Probes, available in lengths from 100mm to 600mm, to measure average velocity pressure across air ducts.
Both differential pressure and air velocity data are transmitted wirelessly using LoRa technology to the cloud, where the data can be displayed, analyzed, and used to generate alerts, providing insights into operational performance.
The enLink Status-DP/AF is designed for ease of use and configuration.
Maintaining the enLink Status-DP/AF involves several key aspects to ensure its longevity and accurate operation.
