LOSES VALIDITY
To ensure your safety, always disconnect
the power cord from the main power line
before working on this equipment.
UNPAKING
To remove the equipment from its shipping
box, open and place it on the floor; take the
unit with both hands and pull it gently
upwards until it is completely out of the
box. Then place the unit on a flat surface,
remove the polystyrene spacers and the pla-
stic bag. The power cord and the remote
control included with your unit are contai-
ned in two carton box fitted in both side of
the unit. We recommend that you keep the
original shipping box, the polystyrene
covers and bag, which guarantee optimal
protection if you need to transport your
equipment.

POWER LINE REQUIREMENTS
The unit includes a separate power supply
cord, which has an IEC standard socket on
one end and a 10A plug meeting the
German "schuko" standard on the other
(where applicable). Before inserting the
IEC socket into the recessed plug located
on the rear panel of the unit, make sure the
main power switch is in the “off” position.
The unit is factory wired for a nominal line
voltage as written on the label on the rear
panel. To use a different voltage from that
indicated, you must contact a SYNTHESIS
service centre.
CONNECTING COMPONENTS
Connections with the rest of an audio
system do not have special limitations. Be
sure to use adequate cables and connectors,
to not degrade the high performances of this
equipment. We suggest to put line-level
analog cables far from any other power or
antenna connection to avoid possible noise.
PLACEMENT
The heat dissipation of vacuum tubes and
internal electronic components is fully pas-
sive. It take advantage of convective cur-
rents created by hot air, which it is made to
flow through the upper openings. This
approach limits the clearance required on
the sides of the unit but still requires an
ample amount of free space on the top and
on the bottom of the device to allow the air
to freely circulate.
Do not expose to direct sunlight or place
near heat sources like power amplifier.
