Usage Features

The M690PRO is designed with user convenience in mind. Its ultra-light materials and structural optimization contribute to its extended flight time. A low center of gravity enhances aircraft reliability. The drone features an enhanced protection level and is easy to use. Arms, landing gears, and propellers can be folded and disassembled quickly, facilitating transport and storage. A chute design simplifies battery installation. The drone requires no tools for assembly and can be ready to fly in just 3 minutes.

Assembly Process:

  1. Content Check: The package includes propellers (2 pairs), motor accessories (GPS stick, 3M tape, motor accessories), the main body, landing gear (2 sets), and gimbal parts (gimbal hooks, M2.5*8 screws, M3*8 screws).
  2. Frame Spreading: Take out the frame and spread it.
  3. Arm Extension: Spread the arms to 180 degrees and secure them using the folding rings. Ensure the arms are aligned with the frame to prevent damage.
  4. Landing Gear Assembly: Assemble the landing gears to the frame.
  5. Landing Gear Attachment: Attach the landing gears to the frame, ensuring the limiting structures are in place before securing the rings.

FC (Flight Controller) Installation (Pixhawk):

  1. Remove Upper Cover: Remove the upper cover of the frame.
  2. Remove Mounting Plate: Take off the flight control mounting plate.
  3. Fix FC: Fix the flight control unit onto the plate.
  4. Set Mounting Plate: Set the mounting plate onto the frame.
  5. GPS Installation: Insert the GPS wire into the GPS holder from the side, secure it with 3M tape, and turn the GPS fixing ring clockwise to the frame. Ensure limiting structures are in place.
  6. Final Assembly: After all connections are made and flight control is adjusted, fix the top cover.
  7. Propeller Installation: Install the propellers, ensuring CW (clockwise) and CCW (counter-clockwise) propellers are in their correct positions.

Disassembly of Gimbal Shell and Adapter:

  1. Remove Gimbal Shell: Remove the gimbal shell.
  2. Assemble Gimbal Adapter: Assemble the gimbal adapter.

Maintenance Features

The manual provides detailed instructions for pre-flight inspections, ensuring the drone's safety and steady operation. Any minor neglect can lead to severe damages or accidents.

Inspections Before Takeoff:

  • Frame Check:
    • Inspect mechanical parts and propellers for stains, cracks, and proper rotation. Replace damaged propellers.
    • Ensure motor installation is tight, with no jamming or shaft bends.
    • Verify the frame is firm and screws are tight.
    • Confirm the battery is correctly installed and sufficiently charged.
    • Check the UAV's center of gravity.
  • Ground Station Check:
    • Verify series or parallel circuits for battery connections.
    • Unlock and slightly pull the throttle to check motor rotation.
    • Ensure all electronic devices work normally.
    • Calibrate the magnetic compass as per the manual.
    • Perform a test flight to verify the aircraft follows the preset route.
    • Observe UAV lights and GPS star count during test flight for timely predictions.
    • Maintain a remote control distance of six to seven meters to the left and right sides of the UAV, avoiding standing directly behind the tail.
    • Power on and let GPS adapt to the weather after completion.
    • Before takeoff, ensure at least 17 GPS stars and favorable surrounding conditions.
  • In Flight:
    • The pilot must monitor UAV attitude, flight time, aircraft position, and other critical information.
    • For distant flights, a security person should report real-time UAV status via intercom.
    • Ensure sufficient power for safe return.
    • For beyond visual range flights, closely monitor UAV attitude, altitude, speed, battery voltage, GPS satellites, and other information on the ground station.
    • After takeoff, pay attention to flight status, grasp flight data in real time, and ensure indicators are good.
    • In case of major failure or crash, prioritize personnel safety.

After Landing:

  • Ensure the remote control is locked, then cut off the power supply to the UAV.
  • Check battery power and inspect UAV appearance and loaded equipment.
  • Tidy up equipment after the demonstration.

Precautions:

  • When debugging, ensure propellers are not installed on the motor to prevent accidents.
  • Close takeoff is strictly prohibited; maintain a distance of over 5 meters from the UAV during takeoff.
  • Avoid sudden throttle pushes during takeoff to prevent uncontrollable accidents.
  • Non-test personnel are prohibited from moving the remote control to prevent misoperation accidents.
  • Do not touch the UAV during landing.
  • Do not pick up the UAV while propellers are rotating after landing.

Unboxing Warning:

For safety and steady operation, ensure all parameters are at proper values before takeoff during assembly and calibration.
