Sizing a balancing valve
1. When ∆p and the designed flow are
known, use the formula below to
calculate the Kv-value (or graph page 7-
9).
Kv = 0.01 q = l/h, ∆p = kPa
Kv = 36 q = l/s, ∆p = kPa
2. When the flow is known and ∆p is
unknown the table below will serve as a
general guide.
