- Not exceed the rated weight capacity of the Tonneau Cover.
- Not exceed the rated weight capacity of the truck. Users are advised to refer to the truck's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
- Not cut or modify the tonneau cover or mounting accessories.
Usage Features
The tonneau cover offers several usage features:
Installation
The installation process involves several steps:
- Preparation: Clean the truck bed thoroughly before installation.
- Placement: Place the assembled cover over the cab front end of the truck box.
- Unfolding and Adjustment: Unfold the cover fully and adjust its position over the truck bed for proper alignment with the cab and tail.
- Front Clamp Installation:
- Carefully refold the cover without shifting its position.
- Take off the clamp bolt from the cover rail.
- Adjust the clamping bolt to the proper position and move the bolt base to a secure position.
- Secure the Front Clamp Knobs (left and right) by pulling the clamp knob down to clamp the metal bed wall edge of the truck. Screw on the knob to ensure a tight clamp.
- Important: Do not secure the clamp to only the lip of a bedliner or rail cap.
- Safety Strap Installation (for folded cover):
- When the cover is open, there are two safety buckles near the front clamps.
- Place the assembled cover on the front end of the truck bed.
- Once the front clamps are secured, install the safety strap and tighten its knob.
- Warning: Always secure the safety straps to the truck bed. Never drive with the cover in a partially opened position without securing it.
- Rear Clamp Installation:
- Secure the Rear Clamps (left and right) by pulling the clamp handle down to clamp the metal bed wall edge of the truck.
- If necessary, adjust the clamp position by rotating the clamp on the bolt to ensure a tight clamp.
- Important: Do not secure the clamp to only the lip of a bedliner or rail cap.
- Safety Locking Pins: Insert Safety Locking Pins into the Rear clamps.
Special Instructions for Nissan/Toyota/Jeep Trucks (with Utility Track channel)
For trucks equipped with a Utility Track system, a specific bracket setup is required:
- Retainer Plates: Slide the retainer plates into the side channels on the vehicle bed (two per side, one in front and one in back).
- Clamp Bracket Attachment: Attach the clamp bracket to the plate using the included Allen head bolts.
- Bracket Alignment and Security: Line the bracket up with the tri-fold cover clamp location and secure the bracket to the vehicle bed rail.
Opening and Folding the Cover
- Release Rear Clamps: To open the cover, release the rear clamps and fold the cover forward.
- Locking Rear Clamps (when folding): When folding the cover, ensure the rear clamps are locked into the Cover Side Rail.
- Securing Folded Cover: When the cover is completely folded, secure it by fastening the straps with buckles together. Pull the straps to tighten the folded cover tightly.
- Attention: Never drive with a cover in a partially opened position. When driving, the cover must be secured with all four clamps or completely folded up and secured by the front clamps and buckles.
