BucketBall Setup
BucketBall Court: A regulation sized BucketBall court will require an
area of 8 feet wide by 40 feet long. The minimum vertical clearance
required is 12 feet.
BucketBall Court Layout
Bucket Setup:
Place six (6) buckets per side arranged in triangle
formation. Fill each bucket at least 1/3rd full with water or sand.
Teams:
Teams consist of 1-2 players. Teammates play on the same
side of the court.
Foul Line:
The foul line is an imaginary line behind each set of buckets.
Tossing Zone:
The tossing zone is the area behind each set of buckets
where each team can toss their game balls.
BucketBall Clean-up Instructions
After each use, wash the buckets and balls with clean water and allow to dry.
Once the buckets and balls are dry, you can stack the buckets, place the balls
in the top bucket, and place the buckets inside the tote bag.

  • Game Play (Quick Start Guide):
    1. Start of Game: Initial possession is determined by a shoot-off, coin flip, or rock-paper-scissors.
    2. Throwing: Each player on a team throws once per turn, aiming to land a ball into an opponent's bucket.
    3. Bucket Removal: If a ball successfully lands in a bucket, that bucket is removed from play.
    4. Re-Racks: Each team is allowed one re-rack per game, allowing them to rearrange their remaining buckets.
    5. End of Game:
      • A team wins by eliminating all of the opposing team's buckets.
      • Rebuttals: The losing team gets a chance for rebuttals: one throw per player, with "bring backs" (successful throws return a removed bucket to play), and players continue throwing until they miss.
      • If the losing team makes all remaining buckets during rebuttals, the game proceeds to overtime. Otherwise, they lose.
    6. Overtime:
      • Three buckets per side are used, arranged in a triangle formation.
      • The team that was winning at the end of regulation throws first.
      • Overtime play follows the same rules as normal game play, with the objective of eliminating all of the other team's buckets.
  • Portability: The included tote bag allows for easy transport and storage, making it convenient to take the game to various locations.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: After each use, the buckets and balls should be washed with clean water.
  • Drying: Allow the buckets and balls to dry completely before storage.
