Special conditions when using IS/NI radios
Intrinsically safe (IS) and non-incendive (NI) radios and accessories
are certified by a third party to be safe to use in particular hazardous
locations, or in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Warning Explosion hazard!
Use only a Tait-supplied, IS/NI
approved battery and charger with an IS/NI radio. Fitting a battery or
using a charger that is not IS/NI-approved creates a risk of explosion
which could cause serious injury or death. For an up-to-date list of
approved accessories, contact your regional Tait office.
