Control
of Playback
and Record Amplifiers
If
the specified
tolerances for frequency respons€ are
exceeded,
check
the
playback
and record
amplifiers.
8.5.1 Playback
Amplifier
Connect
a signal
generator
in
series
with a I kohm
resistor
and a
100 uF capacitor
and
playback
head, see
fig.8.1.

also
VTVM
to
each
of the Line Outputs
and set
playback
volume
control to
maximum.
Set the
tape recorder
for
stereo
playback.
To
ensure
correct
signal level,
apply oscilloscope. Tune the
gene-
rator
to
4OO
Hz
and adjust the level
to 20 dB below 1.5
V,
i.e. 150 mV.
Check
the
frequency response
according
to
fie.8.2.
