MOISTURE METER
Please read this user manual thoroughly before using this meter and keep it handy for future reference.
Application
This meter is designed for testing moisture levels in dierent building materials. The accuracy of measu-
rement is increased by combining microcontroller technology with integrated characteristics for four ma-
terial groups.
Safety
Read the following safety information carefully before operating or servicing the meter.
Use the meter only as specified in this manual.
Do not allow the instrument or the measurement pins to touch any corrosive liquid.
The moisture meter must not be used in environments where explosive gases or vapours are present.
The measurement pins (electrodes) are extremely sharp. Be carefully when handling this instrument. Cover
the pins with the protective cap when the instrument is not in use.
Never use the meter if you suspect any type of electrical problem or short-circuiting in the area to be
measured. Electric shocks can damage the moisture meter and be hazardous for both person and property.
Do not expose the moisture meter to direct sunlight for any extended period. Using the meter in the presen-
ce of strong magnetic fields can lead to false readings.

Note
This moisture meter has a temperature compensation function. Allow a waiting time of 30 minutes if the
meter is moved between two very dierent temperatures. This will allow the meter to adjust to the environ-
ment and provide more accurate readings.

Operating Instructions
Open the battery cover and insert a 9 V battery into the battery compartment.
Power on the meter, and then select the suitable measurement mode (MODE key) according to the object to
be measured. Please refer to the more specific materials list at the end of this manual.
Remove the protective cap to expose the measurement pins. Carefully push the measurement pins as far
as possible into the material under test. Take several readings in several locations on the material for the
best representation of the amount of moisture present. The measured values will be displayed on the LCD.
When the low battery icon
appears on the LCD, replace the battery in the meter.

Please refer to the more specific materials list at the end of this manual.
MAX/MIN key
In measurement mode, pressing this key will enter MAX or MIN mode. Press this key for a short time: the
MAX icon will appear on the LCD, which indicates the current maximum reading; press this key again to en-
ter MIN mode, which indicates the current minimum reading. Press this key once again to go back to the
normal SCAN measurement mode.
Notes
This meter has already been calibrated before delivery. Please do not revise the calibration parameters wi-
thout professional equipment and qualified personnel.
Maintenance, storage and disposal
Wipe the body with a dry cloth. Do not use abrasives or solvents on this instrument.
Do not store the meter near water or dusty areas, areas of high salinity, sulfur or other chemical substan-
ces or in high temperatures or high humidity. Remove the battery if the meter will not be used for long time.
If the battery leaks, it will damage the meter. The meter should be stored inside its protective case whene-
ver it is not being used.
The meter should not be disposed of with the general household waste. Dispose of the meter according to
