The wireless subwoofer automatically pairs with the sound bar for ease of setup. The system also incorporates AI Sonic-Adaptation, a room calibration technology developed by TCL Audio Lab, to optimize sound based on the listening environment. This feature aims to equalize speaker distance, sound pressure level, and frequency response for an improved audio experience. - Sound Bar Controls:
- Source Button: Short press to switch between HDMI-ARC, Optical, AUX, USB, and Bluetooth inputs. Long press to enter subwoofer pairing mode if disconnected.
- Volume Buttons: Press to increase or decrease volume.
- Power Button: Short press for power on/sleep, long press for power off.
- Bluetooth Button: Short press to switch between Bluetooth and the previous input. Long press for Bluetooth pairing.
- Subwoofer Pairing: The wireless subwoofer automatically pairs with the sound bar upon first use. Manual pairing involves pressing and holding the pair button on the subwoofer until an amber light flashes, then pressing and holding the button on the sound bar until a green LED indicator flashes.
- LED Display: The sound bar features an LED display visible between the cloth and top case, indicating the current input source with different colors (Magenta for HDMI-ARC, Yellow for Optical, Green for AUX, Cyan for USB, Blue for Bluetooth). - Placement Options: The sound bar can be placed on a table, centered underneath the TV. The subwoofer should be placed beside the sound bar, maintaining a distance of at least 9.8 feet between the sound bar and any surround sound speakers.
- Wall Mounting: Detailed instructions are provided for wall mounting the sound bar, including using a template, drilling holes, inserting wall anchors, and securing the brackets and sound bar. A minimum distance of 2 inches below the center of the TV is recommended.
- Connectivity:
- HDMI ARC: Recommended connection for TVs, especially Roku TVs, allowing for simple setup and control with one remote. Users need to enable the CEC function on their TV.
- Optical: Alternative connection for TVs using an optical cable.
- Bluetooth: For streaming music from mobile devices. Pairing involves pressing the Bluetooth button on the remote or sound bar, activating Bluetooth on the mobile device, and selecting "TCL Q6310."
- USB: For playing supported audio files (MP3) from a USB drive.
- AUX: For connecting devices via a 3.5mm audio jack or RCA cables (cables not included).
- AI Sonic-Adaptation: This room calibration technology optimizes sound based on the listening area. It measures the sound field using a cellphone and microphone via the TCL Home App to equalize speaker distance, sound pressure level, and frequency response.
- TCL Home App: Provides full control over the sound bar's power, volume, input switching, effects, and AI Sonic-Adaptation, offering additional smart features.
Maintenance Features:
- Battery Replacement: Instructions for installing or replacing two 1.5V AAA batteries in the remote control. Warnings are provided regarding exposure to excessive heat and the danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced.
- Safety Information: Users are advised to read all safety information before using the product. Warnings include keeping plastic packaging away from children and pets to avoid suffocation.
- Optical Cable Handling: A warning is given not to bend or kink the optical cable (SPDIF) as it is fragile and can easily be damaged.
