The TECHKO Safety Guard Model S284 is a vibration-activated alarm/chime designed to provide protection against unauthorized entry. It detects vibrations when a door or other objects to which it is attached are moved. The device also offers a chime function when the protected object is moved.

Function Description:

The S284 operates in three modes: CHIME, OFF, and ALARM.

• CHIME Mode: When activated, a chime will sound three times upon detecting vibration, then the unit will reset itself to resume protection.
• ALARM Mode: In this mode, a 6-tone alarm will sound for 60 seconds upon detecting vibration. After 60 seconds, the unit will reset itself to resume protection.
• OFF Mode: The device is inactive.

When batteries are loaded or the switch is turned from OFF to CHIME/ALARM mode, the LED light on the front of the unit will flash once, and a single beep will sound, indicating that the unit is functioning and ready for operation. There is an 8-12 second alarm delay during which the red LED light flashes when switching modes or loading batteries.

Usage Features:

The Safety Guard is designed for versatile attachment to various objects:

• Doorknobs: It can be hung directly over a doorknob (Fig. 1).
• Bags/Luggage: The unit can be hung onto bags, luggage, or other items to provide valuable protection (Fig. 2).
• Handles/Straps: For items with handles or straps, the Velcro strap on the unit can be unfastened and secured around the handle/strap (Fig. 3).

Caution: The safety guard is extremely loud. For your safety, never place the unit close to your ears. To test the alarm, direct the unit away from you at arm's length and activate it.

Important Note: While the S284 Safety Guard can provide valuable protection, it cannot guarantee complete protection against burglary or robbery. TECHKO KOBOT will not be held liable for any loss or damages. It is crucial to test the S284 unit upon first use to ensure it meets your application needs. The operation manual should be kept in a convenient place for future reference.

Maintenance Features:

• Low Battery Indication: When the red LED light on the front of the unit remains on, it indicates a "Low Battery" condition.
• Battery Replacement: To replace batteries, remove the backplate of the unit and install three new 1.5V AAA batteries.
