Safety Warnings and Precautions

EQ5400 Front Panel Controls

Input Selection Button

Button to switch among all input modes. Default is TAPE input.

Power On;Off Button

Button to power the unit on and off.

Display Mode Selection Button

Button to select spectrum display mode.

Screen Display Switching Button

Button to switch screen display modes.

Signal Range Adjustment Button

Button to increase signal by ±6dB or ±12dB. Default is ±6dB.

Treble Adjustment Knob

Knob to adjust treble on the main output.

EQ Effect Toggle Button

Button to disable or activate EQ effect. Changes signal based on slider positions.

Bass Adjustment Knob

Knob to adjust bass on the main output.

Slider LED Control Button

Button to power the LEDs of the sliders on and off.

Volume Gain Adjustment Knob

Knob to adjust volume level on the main output.

Frequency Equalization Sliders

Sliders to adjust frequencies (30Hz-16KHz) by ±12dB.

EQ5400 Rear Panel Connections

Power Supply Connection

Use power cord to provide unit with power. Ensure unit is off before connecting.

Voltage Selection Switch

Select between 230V AC 50Hz / 115V AC 65Hz.

Line Output Port

Connect to recording device or amplifier. Passive output, not for passive speakers.

Record Output Port

Connect to recording device or amplifier. Passive output, not for passive speakers.

Tuner Input Jack

Connect stereo signal for tuner input. Select Tuner input on front panel.

VCD;CD Input Jack

Connect stereo signal for VCD/CD input. Select DVD input on front panel.

Tape Input Jack

Connect stereo signal for tape input. Select Tape input on front panel.

Typical Input and Output Connections

Connecting Signal Sources

Connect DVD, mixer, or other 2 Channel sources via RCA jacks. Ensure correct polarity.

Connecting to Active Loudspeakers

Connect active speakers via speaker wire outputs. REC output is passive.
