By plugging into an external high-power amplifier, the sound
can be reproduced at a high volume. (Use the R/R+L termi-
nal when outputting monaural sound. )
AUX IN (input level 0.5 Vrms, 6 kQ)
Other instruments such as a rhythm machine or sound
module can be connected to the piano so that the sound is
output from the piano. To receive monaural sound, connect
the other instruments to the R/R+L terminal.
MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface)
MIDI is the standard specification that enables connection to
equipments such as synthesizers and personal computers.
IN: The terminal that receives data from external equip-
ment.
OUT: The terminal that transmits data from this instrument
to external equipment.
THRU: The terminal that transfers data from the IN terminal
directly to other equipment.
¢ Use a 5-pin DIN cord (less than 15 m long) for these connec-
tions.

For silent practice, headphones may be used. When plugged
in, the speaker system is automatically switched off, and
sound is heard only through the headphones.
