Before using MIDI signals, set the MIDI mode in the following
manner.
I. Set to MIDI Setting mode
Press both MODE SET buttons at the same time.
@ The indicators flash slowly.

@ Basic channel
There are 16 basic channels (1—16) for MIDI signals. These
channels must be matched for transmitting and receiving
keyboard note on/off, PROGRAM CHANGE, EFFECT and
PEDAL data.
[2] Press the white number key corresponding to the basic
channel that will be set.
@ Omni mode
In the omni off mode, only a basic channel message that
matches the basic channel of the piano can be received. In
the OMNI ON mode, any basic channel message can be
received.
[3] To turn the omni mode on, press the OMNI ON button.
Press it again to turn the omni mode off.

@ PROGRAM CHANGE (PX44/PX55/PX66), EFFECT <DIGITAL
CELESTE> (PX55/PX66) and PEDAL <sustain, sostenuto,
soft> (PX55/PX66) data
Whether or not data for these items are transmitted or
received can be set.
® PX33: PROGRAM CHANGE, EFFECT and PEDAL <sustain,
soft> data can be transmitted/received; however, whether
or not data for these items are transmitted or received
cannot be set.
@ PX44: EFFECT and PEDAL <sustain, sostenuto, soft> data
can be transmitted/received; however, whether or not data
for these items are transmitted or received cannot be set.

[4] Turn on the buttons for data to be transmitted/received,
and turn off the buttons for data not to be transmitted/
received.

[5] After completing the above steps, press the right button
(MIDI PROGRAM CHANGE) to turn both MODE SET
buttons off.
© Ifthe INITIAL key is pressed when the digital piano is in the
MIDI setting mode, all functions are returned to their
initialized settings as follows:
