5 Basic operation
Dear customer,
The following section begins by covering basic operation as well as recurrent
operating steps for the device. This should make it easier to read the instruction
manual, since it avoids repeated description of identical steps at each individual
stage.
If a function or seing for the device has to be dierent from the basic operation,
the dierence in operation is described in detail at the relevant section in the
manual.
"On Screen Display" is used on your TV. This simplifies operation of the television
since the buons on the remote control can take on dierent functions, which
makes it possible to reduce the number of buons.
In this On Screen Display (OSD for short) the selected functions or seings are
highlighted by a mark.
Furthermore, you will see a line at the boom edge of the screen in which the
various buons on the remote control are shown with their current functions.
In this instruction manual the terms shown in the OSD and the buons to be
pushed are highlighted from other text by the print format shown.
Warning - indicates an important note which you absolutely should observe
in order to avoid problems with the device or unwanted operation.
Tip - This identifies an instruction relating to the described function, as well
as to another related function that may have to be taken into account, with
reference to the corresponding section in the manual.
5.1 Switching the device on and o
> When the device is in standby, you can switch it on by pressing the On/
Standby buon on the remote control.
> When operating normally you can switch the device to standby mode by
pressing the On/Standby buon.
When switching the device on/o, also note Point 8.1 in your instruction
manual.
