4.4.1 Digital
> If your amplifier has an appropriate electrical input, connect theSPDIF (3)
socket to the electrical input on your amplifier.
Depending on the signal provided by each individual broadcaster, sampling
rates of 32, 44.1 and 48 kHz are available. In addition, where broadcast, the
Dolby Digital signal is also available on this output.
4.4.2 Analogue
> To do this, connect the optionally available TechniSat specific adapter kit to the
AV OUT (8) socket on the receiver and the audio input on your Hi-Fi/surround
amplifier. (e.g. CD or AUX; aention - the phono input is not suitable!)
4.5 USB port
The USB port (6) is used for updating the operating soware and for transferring
data.
You can also use the film/DVR, music and photo playback functions (sections
11.1, 11.2 and 11.3 of your instruction manual) to access MPEG, MP3 and JPG files
(amongst others) on the USB storage medium.
4.6 Network port (RJ45)
Using the network port (5) you can connect the device to your existing network.
This allows you to make use of the internet radio functionality.
In this regard, please also note Section 7.5 Network Seings in your
instruction manual.
4.7 Analogue Audio/Video connection
You can also operate the receiver on a TV or an external recorder with analogue
audio/video input. Use the optionally available TechniSat specific adapter kit and
connect it to the AV OUT (8).
