6.3 Preparing the DIGITRADIO 231 OD for operation
6.3.1 Connecting to the mains and charging the baery
When used for the first time, the DIGITRADIO 231 OD rechargeable baery must be fully
charged. Observe the safety instructions for charging lithium-ion baeries.
WARNING!
Do not touch the mains plug with wet hands; electric shock hazard!
CAUTION!
Route the mains cable in such a way that nobody can trip over it.
> Plug the power supply unit into a wall outlet. Then insert the DC plug of the
power supply unit into the DC socket on the radio.
> The DIGITRADIO 231 OD starts and runs an initial scan for stations in your area via
DAB+. Ensure that the antenna is correctly aligned as per Section 6.3.2.
> Once the station search has successfully completed, the first DAB station on the
station list is played. The charging status is shown in the upper right corner of
the display
