Note: Insert the microphone cable securely to ensure that it is connected fully and correctly.
2. To ensure that the microphone cable is not in the way when you are positioning the reception unit, clamp the
microphone temporarily so that it is in the driver’s vicinity. For example, you can mount the microphone on the driver’s
sun visor.
4.5 Positioning the reception unit
1. Choose a position for the reception unit as far up the windscreen as possible, and at least 4 cm from the side of the
screen. Make sure that the reception unit and antenna do not impair the driver’s view.
2. If possible, carefully pull away the roof lining at the front until there is a slight gap.
3. Pull the magnetic earth through the gap with the silver magnet pointing upwards. Make sure that the magnet makes
contact with the metal chassis of the vehicle.
4. Clean the selected section of the windscreen with a cleaning cloth and let it dry.
