INSTRUCTION FOR USE OF FREESTANDING SAFE “TE – MTE” series
IMPORTANT: Read the instructions carefully before using the safe
The safe is supplied with a factory code “1234
The personal code must be from min. 3 to max. 6 digits.
It is recommended do not use personal data like birthdays, telephone numbers…etc.
It will be convenient to replace the batteries every year.
The safe is supplied with 2 emergency keys. Please, never leave the keys in the safe itself.
If the safe will not be used for a long time, please, take out the batteries.
BATTERIES INSTALLING and FUNCTIONALITY TEST :
The safe is delivered with the door unlocking.
Pull the door open, remove the battery cover located on the back of the door and install the 4 supplied
batteries, ensuring that they are fitted with correct polarity (+ and -) and close the battery compartment.
The writing “SECURE GOOD” will appear on display and a beep indicate that the electronic system is
activated.
Test for opening/closing using the factory code “1234” (with door open and bolts retracted)
With the door open press the LOCK key. The bolts will be automatic out (on display appear
CLOSED”)
Digit the factory code 1234 and the bolts will be automatic return (on display will appear
OPENED”).
PERSONAL CODE PROGRAMMING: (with the door open and the bolts retracted)
1 Press twice the “CLEAR” key (display will showNEW”).
2 Digit your personal code with a minimum of 3 to maximum 6 digits and press “LOCK” key
(display will show “AGAIN”).
3 Digit your personal code again and press the “LOCK” key (display will show “DONE”).
Your personal code is programmed.
Before close the door, it is advisable to check that everything it is OK by operating the opening and closing
procedure for a number of times. If safe work good, you can close the door.
TO CLOSE THE SAFE:
Close the door completely, press LOCK key (the bolts will be automatic out and display will show
CLOSED”).
If a word “ERROR 2appear on display, that means the bolts are blocked by closing and the bolts return in
the open position. Please, remove the obstacle and repeat the closing operation from the beginning.
OPEN THE SAFE WITH PERSONAL CODE:
Digit your personal code. The bolts will be automatic retract and display will show “OPENED”.
If a word ERROR 1 appear on display, that means the bolts are blocked by opening. Please, move the
door or if necessary give a blow on it and repeat the opening operation from the beginning
ATTENTION:
The security lockout feature will deter unauthorized openings. If attempts are made to open the safe using
incorrect codes (6 digit codes), with a maximum of 4 attempts, the safe will shut down and remain
inoperable for 3 minutes. Pressing any keys during the lockout, a timer countdown will be on display
(“HOLD03-HOLD02-HOLD01”). After the three minutes, the safe can be used again.
