The Techwood TPG-756 is an electric panini and grill designed for cooking various foods. It features non-stick coated plates, making the use of butter or oil optional. The appliance is intended for grilling and preparing paninis, with an upper plate that rests on top of the food for even cooking.

Usage Features

First Use:

  1. Remove all packaging materials.
  2. Clean the grill plates with a damp sponge or cloth.
  3. Before the first use, operate the unit for 15 minutes to remove the protective film from the heating coil. The presence of smoke during this initial operation is normal.
  4. Ensure adequate ventilation during this process.

General Operation:

  1. Open the unit by pulling the handle up.
  2. Close the plates and plug the unit into a standard electrical outlet. The power indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Allow the unit to preheat for approximately five minutes. The indicator light will turn off, signaling that the product is ready for use.
  4. Caution: The cooking plates and metal surfaces become extremely hot during use. Always wear heat-resistant mitts or gloves and only touch the black portion of the handle to avoid burns.
  5. Lift the upper plate using the handle.
  6. Place food on the lower plate. Use wooden or plastic heat-resistant utensils to avoid scratching and damaging the non-stick coating. Metal utensils should not be used.
  7. Lower the upper plate onto the food using the handle.
  8. Cooking time varies depending on the type and thickness of the food.
  9. Once food is cooked to desired doneness, lift the handle to open the unit and remove the food using heat-resistant utensils.
  10. If more cooking is required, close the plates to conserve heat.
  11. After cooking is complete, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet to turn off the product.
  12. Allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning and storing.

Safety Precautions during Use:

  • Always place the unit on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. If using on sensitive surfaces, place a heat-resistant board underneath.
  • Keep the unit at a safe distance (at least 30cm) from easily flammable objects like furniture or curtains.
  • Ensure the mains lead does not come into contact with hot sections of the device.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces; use the provided buttons and handles.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended when connected to the main supply.
  • Do not use charcoal or similar fuels with this unit.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning and Storage:

  1. Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance, disconnect it from the power supply, and allow it to cool down completely.
  2. Clean the exterior of the appliance with a sponge or a slightly wet cloth.
  3. Removable parts that come into contact with food (plates, bowls, forks, spatulas, etc.) can be washed in hot water with a sponge and soft detergent, or placed in a dishwasher.
  4. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  5. Do not use abrasive cleaners, gritty materials, metal brushes, or other cutting objects for cleaning.
  6. Before storing, ensure the unit is completely cool and dry.
  7. Do not wrap the cord around the appliance, as this can cause damage.
  8. Store the appliance in a cool, dry place.

General Safety and Maintenance Guidelines:

  • Regularly check the cord for damages. Do not use the appliance if the cord or appliance shows any signs of damage.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
  • Disconnect the power source cable before any cleaning, maintenance, or accessory assembly.
  • Never use the appliance outdoors; always place it in a dry environment.
  • Do not use accessories not recommended by the producer, as they may pose a danger to the user and damage the appliance.
  • Never use any connector other than the one provided.
  • Do not move the appliance by pulling the cord. Ensure the cord does not get caught.

Guarantee

  • The apparatus is guaranteed for 24 months from the date of purchase by the consumer.
  • Proof of guarantee requires the invoice and a filled and stamped warranty plate (located on the side or bottom of the gift box). Without these documents, no free replacement or repair can be carried out.
  • During the warranty period, defects arising from materials or manufacturing are covered by free repair or replacement. Warranty services do not extend the warranty period or grant a new guarantee.
  • For warranty claims, return the complete apparatus in its original packing, with proofs of purchase, to the retailer.
  • Breakage of glass or plastic parts is not warranted.
  • Defects on accessories or wearing parts (e.g., motor coals, hooks, drive belts, remote control, replacement toothbrushes, webs, cleaning, maintenance, or replacement of wearing parts) are not guaranteed and are chargeable.
  • Any foreign intervention voids the guarantee.
  • After the warranty period, repairs can be carried out, against payment, by a specialized trade or repair service.

  • Children aged 8 years and older, and adults with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, can use this device if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning its safe use and understand the hazards involved.
