Important Details
a) Removing batteries resets to Factory
Default settings.
b) To test temperature accuracy, place unit on
plastic or wood, near your home’s HVAC
thermostat for about 4 hours.
c) Adjusting barometer will not affect 8-12
hour weather outlook calculation.
d) If FUNcaster becomes wet, promptly
remove batteries, pat dry, and place in warm
dry area for 48 hours. Restart as usual.
To Install FUNcaster ®
A. Remove battery cover (Note polarity)
insert 2 AAA batteries. Replace cover.
B. Install out of direct sunlight, high and
away from dark colors, protected from
rain and spray as possible.
C. Fully clean location surface before
attaching with nylon fastener.

The FUNcaster® Barometer is a device designed to provide weather outlooks and display environmental data.

Function Description:

The primary function of the FUNcaster® Barometer is to offer an 8-12 hour weather outlook based on barometric pressure trends. It also displays temperature, humidity, and current barometric pressure. The device uses a "Barometric Algorithm" to interpret pressure changes and predict weather conditions, such as clear sunny, partly sunny, rain likely, storms, and snow likely. It integrates NOAA Rain (%) Guide to indicate the probability of showers based on percentages.

Important Technical Specifications:

• Temperature Range: 32°F/0°C to 140°F/60°C.
  • "Lo" indicates temperatures below 32°F/0°C.
  • "Hi" indicates temperatures above 140°F/60°C.
• Humidity Range: 10% to 99%.
• Barometer Range: 23.62 to 32.48 inHg (inches of mercury) or hPa/mb (hectopascals/millibars).
• Power Source: 2 AAA batteries.

Usage Features:

• Custom Settings:
  • Users can press the "BAR" button to choose between Time or Barometer display.
  • The "DOWN" button allows selection between Fahrenheit or Celsius for temperature units.
  • The "UP" button enables selection of Barometric Unit (inHg or hPa/mb).
• Setting Time:
  • To set the time, long-press the "SET" button until the hour blinks.
  • Use "Up/Down" to set the hour, then press "SET".
  • Use "Up/Down" to set the minutes.
  • Settings are saved automatically after 20 seconds of inactivity.
• Optional Temperature or Barometer Offset:
  • The device allows for calibration of temperature and barometer readings. It is recommended to observe the FUNcaster for a few days before making adjustments.
  • To access offset settings:
    • Long-press "SET" until the hour blinks.
    • Press "SET" again until minutes blink.
    • Press "SET" again until temperature blinks.
    • Use "UP/DOWN" to adjust the temperature offset.
    • Press "SET" until barometer blinks.
    • Use "UP/DOWN" to adjust the barometer offset.
  • Settings are saved after 20 seconds.
• 8-12 Hour Weather Outlook: The FUNcaster® requires time to learn local barometric pressure patterns to provide the most accurate 8-12 hour weather outlook.

Maintenance Features:

• Battery Installation:
  • Remove the battery cover.
  • Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing polarity.
  • Replace the cover.
• Reset to Factory Defaults: Removing the batteries will reset the device to its factory default settings.
• Temperature Accuracy Test: To test temperature accuracy, place the unit on plastic or wood, near a home's HVAC thermostat, for approximately 4 hours.
• Barometer Adjustment Note: Adjusting the barometer reading will not affect the 8-12 hour weather outlook calculation.
• Water Exposure: If the FUNcaster becomes wet, promptly remove the batteries, pat it dry, and place it in a warm, dry area for 48 hours. It should then restart as usual.
• Installation Location: Install the device out of direct sunlight, high and away from dark colors, and protected from rain and spray. The location surface should be fully cleaned before attaching with the nylon fastener.
