Measure vertical distance from floor to ceiling loft opening for ladder suitability.
Manually adjust bottom three ladder sections for specific ceiling heights.
Open the attic/loft ladder door by pulling the hanging rope or cable.
Ensure the attic/loft ladder is attached to the door before use.
Lift the ladder off the pothook by gripping outside tubes to open.
Observe windows on rungs turning from red to green, indicating sections are locked.
The ladder should rest on the floor at a 75-degree angle when opened.
Press buttons on rungs to release locking mechanism and open additional sections.
Climb by standing in front, gripping outside tubes, and taking one step at a time.
Press buttons on bottom rungs to release locking mechanism before closing.
Push ladder up with both hands on outside tubes until all sections retract.
Move closed ladder to frame and place back in pothook to lock securely.
Close the attic/loft opening door to store the ladder away.
