Why is my TERASAKI Circuit Breaker molded case overheating?
    • V
      vestesAug 7, 2025
Your TERASAKI Circuit Breaker's molded case may be overheating because the main contact surface is roughening. Try polishing the contact surface with emery paper. However, if the contact surface is excessively roughened and the internal resistance exceeds its limit, replace the ACB. Another cause could be loose terminal screws or stud fixing screws. Retighten the screws to the standard torque. Ensure all screws are securely tightened.

      christinanortonAug 13, 2025
If your TERASAKI Circuit Breaker trips open right after you close it, review the starting method of the load or change the short time-delay trip pick-up current (I) setting. Also, check the electrical distribution system and the wire connections.

What to do if TERASAKI Circuit Breaker tripping operation is impossible?
    • J
      Jenna PerezAug 17, 2025
If the tripping operation of your TERASAKI Circuit Breaker is impossible, the OCR or UVT may be defective and need replacement (consult Terasaki for advice). Check for looseness of wire connections and switch contacts. The SHT may also need replacement. Ensure that the applied voltage is of rated voltage x 70% or more. Lubricate the mechanism to reduce friction.

Why is closing operation impossible on my TERASAKI AME3B?

      Ryan VaughanAug 22, 2025
If closing operation is impossible on your TERASAKI Circuit breaker, it could be due to several reasons. The voltage applied to the UVT may be insufficient; ensure it's at least 85% of the rated voltage. The UVT itself might be defective, in which case it should be replaced (consult Terasaki for advice). The SHT may also be defective and needs replacement. Try resetting the handle. The tripping mechanism may need repair (consult Terasaki for advice).

How to fix no continuity in TERASAKI Circuit Breakers?
    • D
      Daniel BranchAug 27, 2025
If there is no continuity in your TERASAKI Circuit Breaker, it could be because the main contact surface is worn and roughened, or the contact lead is disconnected due to excessive operation cycles or corrosive gases. In either of these cases, replace the ACB. Also, clean the auxiliary circuit terminals.
