8. CONFIGURATION
I. Measuring mode
The Non-contact Body Infrared Thermometer is specially designed to take the body temperature of
a human being. For this, use the Body mode. Measurement range for Body mode: 32 - 42,5 C (86 -
108 F).
You can also use the thermometer to measure the temperature of an area or an object, food, liquid,
or room temperature. For this, use the Surface mode. Measurement range for Surface mode: 0 - 60
C (32 - 140 F).
II. Choosing The Temperature Unit °C / °F - F1 function
Press MODEbutton for 2 seconds, the screen displays: F1. Select DOWNfor Celsius degrees
or UPfor Fahrenheit degrees.
III. Alarm Setup - F2 Menu
Press MODEtouch for 2 seconds, the screen displays: F1. Press twice “MODEtouch to get F2.
Select UPto increase the threshold by 0.1 °C (0.1 °F) or DOWNto deuce it by 0.1 °C (0.1 °F).
The alarm threshold default is 38 °C (100.4 °F).
IV. Pyrometer display calibration/Total Difference (This function is only effectictive in Body
mode - body temperature measurement)
To adjust the total variation of your Non-Contact Body Infrared Thermometer, press MODEbutton
for 2 seconds, the screen displays: F1. Press “MODE” button two times to get F3. Select “UPto
increase the difference by 0.1 °C (0.1 °F), “DOWN to reduce it by 0.1 °C (0.1 °F). Temperature
value can be changed in: -3,0...3,0 °C range. In the cases of seasonal or environment changes a
verification and adjustment should be carried out.
V. Buzzer ON/OFF - F4(F3) Menu
Press MODE button for 2 seconds, the screen displays: F1. Press three(two) times MODE
Button to get F4(F3).
Select UPto open the buzzer ( asound icon is displayed on the LCDC screen), press DOWNto
stop it ( the icon dissapear).

How to Use

Measurement Procedure

Aim at forehead from 5cm, press trigger. Ensure no hair or perspiration.

Alternative Measurement Location

Use behind earlobe if forehead has significant temperature difference or perspiration.

Important Usage Notes

Allow 10 min warm-up for first use/new batteries. Device may test room temp on startup.

Body Temperature Measurement

Measurement Range and Indicators

Range 32-42.5°C. HI indicates >42.5°C, Lo indicates <32.0°C.

Temperature Variation Factors

Body temperature varies by age, sex, skin type/thickness, and external factors.

Normal Temperature by Age

Provides normal temperature ranges for different age groups (0-65+ years).

Normal Temperature by Body Part

Lists normal temperature ranges for forehead, ear, oral, and axillary measurements.
