WARNING: READ CAREFULLY THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
FIRST USE
• The rst time the machine is used, or after a long period of disuse, ll the removable
water tank (1), using only cold water, and carefully replace it in its holder.
• Plug into electric outlet.
• Push the on-off botton (4) to turn-on the machine.
• Place a container under the cappucino maker spout (5) and turn the steam supply knob
(16) completely anticlockwise.
• Put the coffee and water supply button (2) in position “I”.
• When water comes out, put button (2) in position “0” and close the steam supply by
turning knob (16) clockwise.
WARNING!
It is advised to let at least one cup of water through to clean the tubes inside.
ESPRESSO COFFEE
Push the on-off botton (4) to turn-on the machine.
Wait until the pilot light (14) turns on. The machine is now ready to make coffee.
Proceed as indicated depending on whether you are using coffee pods or powder.
POD (only for BARCAFFÈ 9000)
Place the pod inside lter (13).
POWDER
Add the ground coffee: 1 measure for 1 cup inside lter (12),
2 measures for 2 cups inside lter (11). Lightly tamp it down
with the tamper.
For both kinds of coffee, do as follows:
- Place the lter holder (10) in its seat and turn it clockwise.
- Place the cup under the dispenser.
- Put the coffee and water supply button (2) in position “I”,
and coffee will come through.
- When the required coffee quantity has been reached, put
button (2) back in position “0” to stop the ow of water.
WARNING!
due to possible residual steam or hot water, remove the lter
holder carefully.
