Getting started
Turn on your computer and wait for your system to fully load. Then connect the AUREON 5.J USB to a free USB port
on your computer. The system automatically provides the internal system driver and reports after successful
activation. Done, the sound card can now be used.

Muting microphone and headphone
The sound input and output can be conveniently deactivated and reactivated directly on the sound card. This is done
using the switches (6) microphone and 7 head home.
The LED under the switch informs you about the current status. If the microphone is activated, the corresponding
LED lights up red, if it is muted, the LED goes out.
Muting the headset is indicated on the right-hand side with the corresponding blue LED.
Common problems
1. Is it necessary to activate the sound card after connecting it to the computer?
A. Usually it is not necessary to activate the AUREON 5.1 USB manually. However, if there are other sound
devices available, it may first have to be selected as the preferred audio device in the control panel (Windows)
or the audio-midi configuration (Mac OS).
2. The sound card is connected but I can‘t hear anything.
A. Check the headphones and headset connections to the sound card and maI‹e sure everything is connected
correctly.
B. Press the switch to mute the headphones (7) to maI‹e sure that the output is not deactivated.
C. Turn the volume control clockwise to increase the volume.
D. Mal‹e sure in your system settings that the AUREON 5.1 USB is selected as the standard audio device.
3. The person you are speaking to cannot hear you during an audio or video call.
A. Check the connection of the microphone to the sound Earth and make sure everything is connected
correctly.
B. Press the switch to mute the microphone (6) to make sure that the output is not deactivated.
C. Mal‹e sure in your system settings that the AUREON 5.1 USB is selected as the standard audio device for
sound input.
