Each cartridge filters 100 litres - about 30 days of average use. Based on the laboratory test
results, the filter insert was suitable for reducing the pH, total hardness, total organic matter,
and the amount of organochlorine compounds.Tesco water filter jug compatible. BPA free.
Preparing the water filter cartridge:
1. Store in a cool, dark place in original, sealed packaging.
2. Remove all packaging from the filter cartridge. There may be a small residue of black
carbon particles in the bag or on the surface of the cartridge; this is normal. These
particles are harmless and are washed off during the preparation process.
3. Soak the cartridge in a bowl of cold drinkable water for 5-10 minutes and shake gently
to remove all the air bubbles.
4. Rinse it through for 1 minute under running drinkable water.
5. The filter cartridge is now ready for use.
Fitting the filter into the inner funnel:
1. Remove the funnel from the jug and fit the filter cartridge into the underside of the
inner funnel and rotate clockwise to lock into place. Ensure that it is firmly secured.
2. Place the inner funnel back into the filter jug.
3. Refit the lid.
4. Fill the inner funnel with cold drinkable water and let it pass through the filter. Once it
has been filtered, discard the water. Repeat the procedure once more.
5. Fill the inner funnel for a third time, your water filter jug is now ready for use.
