Using the hand blender
The blender is ideal for making purees, cold sauces,
mayonnaise and mixing drinks.
• Assemble the blender attachment to the motor body.
• Make sure that the jug or bowl you are using is deep
enough to avoid spraying or splashing.
• Introduce the blender into the food before switching it
on to avoid splashing.
• Connect the motor body to mains power.
• Set the speed and switch on to blend.
Use a slow speed where possible - higher speeds can be
used as a nishing touch.
NOTE: When using the blender, never run the appliance for
more than 1 minute continuously. Allow the appliance to
cool for 3 minutes before further use.
NEVER use the blender in a vessel while it is being heated
on the stove.
NEVER let the base of the blade housing come into
prolonged contact with the body of a vessel while
blending.
Using the whisk
The supplied measuring jug is ideal for whisking ingredients
such as egg white, light batters, cream etc. If you are
whisking egg white, the jug will accommodate two egg
whites - use a large bowl for extra amounts.
• Assemble the whisk attachment to the motor body.
• Introduce the whisk into the food before switching it on
to avoid splashing.
• Connect the motor body to mains power.
• Set the speed and switch on to whisk.
Use a slow speed where possible - higher speeds can be
used as a nishing touch.
NOTE: When using the whisk, never run the appliance for
more than 1 minute continuously. Allow the appliance to
cool for 3 minutes before further use.
NEVER let the wires of the whisk come into prolonged
contact with the body of a vessel while blending.
Using the potato masher
• Assemble the potato masher attachment to the motor
body.
• Peel and cut the required amount of Potato into
approximately 2.5cm (1”) cubes.
• Place the potatoes in cool water and heat to boiling.
• Boil gently until the pieces of potato oer little resistance
to a knife. This should take around 15-20 minutes.
• Cutting the potatoes into smaller pieces and heating the
water from cold allows the potatoes to cook through
evenly.
• Drain the water from the potatoes.
• Introduce the masher into the food before switching it
on to avoid splashing.
• Set the speed and switch on to mash the potatoes.
NOTE: When using the potato masher, never run the
appliance for more than 1 minute continuously. Allow the
appliance to cool for 1 minute before further use.
• Move the masher up and down through the ingredients
until they have all been processed. This should only take
a few seconds.
• Keep the potato masher running as you lift it from the
ingredients (but still within the bowl or dish you are
using), to clear any excess mash from the masher.
